Acupuncture

The foundations of modern acupuncture have been established through scientific research into the body's energy meridians. With this map of actions, the therapeutic effects - both local and systemic - can be explained in pathologies of different kinds. These effects are based on neuromodulation exerted through signals transmitted by the nervous system and intercellular biochemical mediators of the connective system.
Currently, research work continues on the biological mechanisms of acupuncture in the body - analgesia, anti-inflammatory, anxiolytic and antidepressant. In addition to the study, especially of its efficacy and effectiveness in numerous diseases and health problems. In acute conditions, acupuncture treatment produces a rapid effect, but chronic diseases generally require more treatment cycles - five to ten sessions performed 1 or more times a week depending on the patient's needs.
